Kick-Off the Festive Holiday Travel Season at Union Station
At 1:45 pm on Monday, November 24th, and in partnership with the Community Music School of Springfield, the Springfield Redevelopment Authority will host their fifth annual tree lighting ceremony at Union Station.
The historic concourse will be filled with holiday cheer when Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, Congressman Richie Neal, and Hampden County’s Sheriff Nick Cocchi kick off the busy holiday travel season, lighting the tree and setting the Amherst Railway Society model train chugging its way around the base.
The talented musicians from the Community Music School of Springfield will perform a medley of holiday songs, and Santa Claus himself will make an appearance!
