Community Rest Session – Creative Sector Advocacy Week

March 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

Dear Community!
You are invited to come to one or several of a series of rest session at the Intersection in tower square on Wednesday, February 4th, March 4th, and March 18th
We will be focusing on rest and economics and I will be inviting folks to get involved with a project we are building called HART, which supports artists with more restful ways to engage with grants and grant writing, and supports young folks in Springfield to learn more about economic empowerment. If you are interested in this or just want to rest, please come through! I’ll be there with the handpan drum and some tea!
Sending lots of love,
Jamila

You are invited to a guided lunchtime rest experience designed to rejuvenate the body, calm the nervous system, and reconnect us to rest as a shared practice.
These sessions are facilitated by Jamila, founder of The Rest Clinic & The Embodied Leadership Project, an initiative at the intersection of arts and health that creates trauma-informed, creative restorative spaces for individuals and communities.
Rest is a right, not a luxury. This hour invites you to slow down, release exhaustion, and experience rest as care, connection, and possibility.
All ages are welcome.

The Intersection is happy to have you bring a lunch to enjoy in our space before or after your rest practice. Water, tea, and coffee will be available.

To continue your rest practice beyond these sessions, you are also invited to explore a free online rest video series designed for both kids and adults: https://www.youtube.com/@therestclinic
