…self love.
A yoga series for beginners…

We believe in compassion and honoring YOU exactly where you are… Dharma Yoga is humbled to share with community a very special SELF LOVE 5-Week beginner yoga series. Our teacher Laura Dromgold has designed the series to take away the worries about your first yoga class and create an introduction to yoga with a enjoyable experience for all, honoring your body, mind and spirit…

The Self Love Yoga Beginners practice will teach students what yoga is, where it came from, how to start your practice and how yoga will positively impact your life…

This is what you will experience loves:

This is the beginning of your yoga journey!
Each week of this series you will be introduced to parts of the 8 limbs of Yoga, practices in life used to lead a fulfilling and healthy existence.

This first week you will learn some of the history of yoga. You will learn how the mind, body and breath flow together in your practice.

The different props often used in the classroom will be introduced and you’ll be shown common uses for them. After a warm-up, yoga asanas (poses) and pranayama
(breathing) will be introduced, including some basic seated and standing poses, including Sun Salutation A.

The importance of the breath continues to be emphasized in Week 2. You will be introduced to more standing poses including Warrior I and Warrior II. Balancing poses are also introduced. Body alignment, a critical aspect to a yoga practice, will continue to be emphasized.

You will learn poses that strengthen the back and improve flexibility in the spine. Twisting postures and Sun Salutation B are introduced in this third week of the series. You’ll go more deeply into breathing techniques you can use in your yoga practice and in daily life.

At the very core, Sun Salutations are the basic sequence of postures in yoga. You will practice the entire sequence combining Sun Salutations A and B. Heart opening poses are a focus in Week 4 and a meditative finish to this class will combine breathing and other techniques to help calm the mind.

In this final week of the series, you will apply many of the things you’ve learned in the previous weeks and practice a basic asana flow. The flow will introduce you to the experience you will get in a Vinyasa practice. You’ll also learn about the different yoga class styles that are available, Laura will share Dharma Yoga’s class offerings along with answering any additional yoga questions you might have…

Students in the SELF LOVE YOGA BEGINNERS SERIES will be offered a complimentary experience of organic, natural JOIYA CBD tincture before practice if they chose…

We are mindfully limiting the class size to create a special experience for all practicing. The investment for the 5 Week Series is pre-paid through EVENT BRITE – $65.00

A note from our beautiful teacher, Laura Dromgold…

I began my journey in the Health and Fitness industry over 30 years ago, receiving my very first Personal Trainer~Group Fitness certification through NDEITA in 1987 (now known as NETA). Over the years I have taught a wide variety of Group Fitness classes including, but not limited to STEP, Cardio Kick, HIIT, Body Sculpting, Core Fusion, Yoga and Spinning. I am also a Personal Trainer with experience working with clients of all levels and goals ranging from weight loss and rehabilitation, to competitive body building. I have found that Yoga is a wonderful compliment to all other aspects of Health and Fitness. Throughout my Yoga training I have grown to love Vinyasa ( power) a practice using breath to promote fluidity between poses. As a teacher, I hope to combine my knowledge of the human body, and my love for yoga to guide students through a full mind-body experience. My classes focus on proper alignment and link movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, and relieve stress.

Certified through AFAA, Keiser Cycling and Yoga Alliance (200 Hour Yoga Teacher). EMT certified with the Suffield Ambulance
