Create one or several small silk paintings in this class. Topics will include stretching silk for painting, transferring designs to the fabric, color layering, and ideas for matting and framing your finished silk paintings. All levels welcome. One yard of silk fabric is included in your class fee. Bring your nontoxic silk paints, brushes, several jelly jars or other mixing containers, pencil, ruler, scissors, and a roll of masking tape. Optional: water-based resist and applicator tip, hair dryer, approx. 1/2 gal. plastic container for dissolving resist. Silk paints can be purchased at the Museum School.
