Springfield’s September 11th Remembrance Ceremony

The Spirit of Springfield, in conjunction with the Springfield Fire and Police Departments, will present the annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony with Greetings by Mayor Domenic Sarno and State Senator John Velis, and Remembrances by Springfield Fire Commissioner B. J. Calvi, Springfield Police Superintendent Larry Ackers, Colonel David Halasi-Kun, Commander of the 104th Fighter Wing, and American Medical Response.

The ceremony also includes roll out of emergency services equipment over the Memorial Bridge, tolling of the bell, laying of the wreath, a rifle salute and taps.
