World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast

The Spirit of Springfield will celebrate Springfield’s birthday with the World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the middle of Main Street in Downtown Springfield.

Saturday at 8AM and will last until the last flapjack has been flipped. The breakfast table will stretch down Main Street to Court Square.  There will be three cooking tents, four ticket tables, 12 beverage stations and more than 300 volunteers. Besides a hot hearty breakfast with great tasting pancakes from Performance Food Group, Carando Classic Italian bacon, H. P. Hood orange juice and milk, and coffee, there will be lots to experience.

There will be live entertainment including the Sci Tech High School Band, dancing, and singing. There will be displays and demonstrations. Visitors can get up close to equipment from the Springfield Police and Fire Departments, and the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department. The Massachusetts Army National Guard has an obstacle course for the kids. The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will host a cast clinic.

TD Bank and WWLP-22News will have prize wheels. Monson Savings Bank will challenge guests to cornhole games and Jenga. Western Mass News will be handing out hip packs.
