Celebrate the amazing food and diversity in our local cuisine and MOST IMPORTANTLY support our restaurants and communities.

DECEMBER 4TH - DECEMBER 13TH

This is a call to our community. To all local lovers, diners, and friends. It’s time to put your money where your heart is and rally behind your favorite restaurants. This December, simply order out, grab curbside pick-up, dine in early or delivery and help save the restaurants that make our city complete.

Springfield’s Restaurant Rally kicks-off this Friday, December 4th and will run through Sunday, December 13th. This 10-day city-wide event is presented by the Springfield Restaurant Week Committee and the Springfield Business Improvement District. Due to the pandemic, what would have been the 6th annual Restaurant Week was put on hold in April. This particular event is just to simply promote our dining culture and encourage everyone to support their favorite restaurants before 2020 comes to an end. Every single restaurant in Springfield is considered a participating restaurant. Unlike Restaurant Week, there is no prix-fixe menus.

“For an industry built on service and hospitality, the last eight months have challenged the core understanding of our business,” Tom Bené, president and CEO of the National Restaurant Association, said in a statement. “Our survival for this comes down to the creativity and entrepreneurship of owners, operators, and employees. Across the board, from independent owners to multi-unit franchise operators, restaurants are losing money every month, and they continue to struggle to serve their communities and support their employees.”

More than 8 million restaurant employees have been laid off or furloughed since the beginning fo the coronavirus outbreak

Ways You Can Participate in the Springfield Restaurant Rally

TAKE-OUT

Enjoy your favorite foods this holiday season from the comfort of your own home. Almost every restaurant is offering take-out options. While you’re out running holiday errands, order and pick up some food and let your favorite restaurants do the cooking. There is currently no evidence that there can be any transmission of the virus through food.

DINE-IN SAFELY

Restaurants have gone through major strides to keep their customers safe. Investing in glass partitions, limiting capacity, mandatory mask mandates, and much more. Take the time, if you’re feeling healthy, to stop by and visit your favorite chefs, wait staff, and restaurant owners.

DELIVERY

Check to see if your fav spots are doing delivery. Enjoy your favorite foods without ever leaving your house. Also check apps such as DoorDash, UberEats, and GrubHub.

BUY GIFT CARDS

Gift Cards are a great holiday gift idea this season. Gift cards have always been a valuable source of revenue for restaurants. Purchase a few gift cards to support your favorites and give the gift that keeps on giving.
