The Uno® story begins in Chicago in 1943 when Ike Sewell developed deep dish pizza and opened a new type of restaurant at the corner of Ohio & Wabash. It was here that Ike served a pizza unlike any that had been served before. Buttery 'out-of-this-world' crust that had a tall edge like a fruit pie. He created a recipe that combined authentic Italian spices and quality tomatoes with more cheese than people could believe and then baked it for nearly an hour. When people tasted it, they wanted more of the same and the lines have been forming ever since to get into the restaurant
Some still remember the day when a man named Sam opened a bar in the South End of Springfield. It was his dream and he shared it selflessly with all. It was the late 1900s, and they were simpler times. Hundreds of people would gather there to watch the games, meet and make friends and banter over cold libation.
Theodores’ BBQ is a 30+ year old Blues club in the heart of Springfield’s Entertainment District. Theos’ serves up The Valley’s Best Barbeque 7 days a week and their stage features the best in national, regional and local music, Tuesday through Saturday. In 2004 Theodores’ was recognized by The Blues Foundation and was names ‘Best Blues Club in the Country’ with a KBA Award (Keeping the Blues Alive).
Born and raised in West Hartford, CT I started my passion for cooking from a very young age. My parents say that I was born with a spatula in my hand and ready to cook! I remember begging my father as early as four years old to go to work with him. Working Under my father’s wing at one of Connecticut’s Largest Kosher Catering Company my passion grew, as I got older and it lead me to attending Johnson & Wales Univ. & Center for Culinary Arts for Schooling.
So we had this idea. That food can bring people together in a bunch of different ways. Neighbors with neighbors. Locals with local ingredients. And bourbon lovers with bourbons worth loving. In 2006, our idea became; b -- Burgers -- Beer - Bourbon. People come here to be here. For good beer. Cool surroundings. And one burger to rule them all. Gathering is what we do. b is where we do it.
The Cuisine of India is characterized by it's diverse use of spices, and by the use of a large variety of ingredients. Our menu has been selected to present those dishes, which truly reflect the culinary heritage of India. For the best dining experience, every dish is individually prepared to ensure freshness and quality.
