The History of the Worthy BrewFest
Started in 2010, The Worthy BrewFest has grown into a beloved local tradition, bringing together craft beer lovers, breweries, and the community for an unforgettable summer celebration. While the festival enters an exciting new chapter in a new location, it proudly honors its roots — Theodores’ BBQ and Smith’s Billiards, who have hosted BrewFest since the very beginning and helped shape it into the event it is today.
In 2026, the Springfield Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to take the reins of The Worthy BrewFest, ensuring the continuation and growth of this iconic event as part of Downtown Springfield’s vibrant annual calendar. With a renewed vision and expanded experience, the BID is building on the festival’s strong foundation while introducing new energy, partnerships, and opportunities for the community to come together.
This year’s event is presented by Beacon Bank, whose support helps elevate the festival experience and reinforces a shared commitment to supporting local businesses, culture, and community in downtown Springfield.
Guests can expect tastings from a curated lineup of WORTHY breweries, live entertainment, and an elevated festival atmosphere that blends the energy of downtown with a fresh, modern experience. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer enthusiast or just along for the vibes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
From its Worthington Street beginnings to its next evolution, The Worthy BrewFest continues to celebrate Springfield’s rich beer culture, strong sense of community, and the places—and partners—that make it all possible.
