The Springfield Thunderbirds’ Foundation with support from MassMutual launched the “Thanks for Giving” program, an initiative to collect non-perishable foods and monetary donations to benefit local organizations in need. the Thunderbirds’ front office staff will accept food donations at their office at 45 Bruce Landon Way in Springfield and at the Hilton Garden Inn at 800 Hall of Fame Avenue in Springfield. As an added bonus, every Wednesday in November beginning on Nov. 4th, the Nicebox Icebox will be parked in front of the office to collect donations, with the goal to fill it each week.
