The Springfield Business Improvement District (SBID) is again, bringing over a dozen ice sculptures to downtown Springfield for the 7^th Annual Ice Invasion presented by the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Ice installation will begin on Friday, February 9th and keep downtown frozen over the weekend.

*On Saturday, February 10th join us for a Thunderbirds Pre-Game Party for live, music, games, and hot soup from 3pm – 6pm!

Event Highlights:

• Ice Sculptures Galore: Marvel at the craftsmanship as talented artist, Joe Almeida,showcases intricate designs from blocks of ice. From interactive fun to intricate structures, each sculpture is a work of frozen art. Don’t miss the chance to snap some unforgettable photos with these chilly masterpieces!
• Live Music: Feel the rhythm of winter with live music from FLLOYD PATTERSON that will set the perfect festive atmosphere. Groove to the beats as you explore the icy wonderland.
• Games for All Ages: Engage in friendly competition with a variety of games suitable for the whole family.
• Hot Soup Bar: Warm up your taste buds with a piping hot bowl of soup from Nadim’s delectable hot soup bar. A variety of flavors will be available to tantalize your palate and keep you cozy.
• Vendors Village: Explore our Vendors Village, featuring local businesses offering a diverse range of products.
• Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Bring the whole family for a winter adventure! Our Ice Invasion is designed to be family-friendly, ensuring afternoon of joy and excitement for everyone.
• Perfect Pre-Game Excitement: As the event concludes at 6:00 PM, you’ll have just enough time to head over to the Springfield Thunderbirds Hockey Game, carrying the festive spirit from our Ice Invasion into the arena.

Also, please note that warmer weather may increase the speed of the ice sculptures melting, so please plan on attending earlier in the weekend if the weather is warm and the sun is out.
