2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl

Thursday, December 6th

The second annual Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl will be taking over the downtown streets again for a fun night of downtown bar hopping and holiday shenanigans. Ugly sweaters are a MUST. The walking pub crawl will begin on Market Street as we team up with New Belgium Brewing followed by stops at Nadim’s, Art e’ Pizza, Theodore’s, and The Fort.

Festival of Trees

November 23rd - December 9th

We invite you to celebrate the holidays at the Springfield Boys & Girls Club’s 18th Annual Festival of Trees located at their new location, the MassMutual Center.  Trees donated and decorated by businesses, civic and social organizations, schools, hospitals, families, and individuals are raffled off at the conclusion of the event. Try your luck at winning your favorite!

Skating on the Plaza

December - January

December through January, MGM Springfield’s Plaza will transform into a winter wonderland. Visitors of all ages will welcome the snow’s arrival at The Plaza’s ice skating rink and enjoy pop-up activations—from a hot chocolate stand to photo opportunities with Santa Claus.

215th Army Band Holiday Concert

The Spirit of Springfield proudly presents a FREE holiday concert by the 215th Army Band of the Massachusetts Army National Guard on Sunday, December 9th at 2pm in Symphony Hall. Tickets are available at Big Y World Class Markets, 1350 Main Street Security Desk, and the William C Sullivan Visitor Center.
