The Outwin 2022: American Portraiture Today

Organized by the National Portrait Gallery, this exhibition draws from submissions to a triennial call for portraiture that is open to contemporary artists working across the United States. The Outwin 2022 features 42 works created between 2019 and 2021 that respond to contemporary issues and reflect on the Covid-19 pandemic. The Springfield Museums are one of only four museums across the country chosen for this exhibition (and the only one in the Northeast).
